Amara

Daughter. Mother. Creative. Writer. Spoken Word Artist. Friend. Sister. Lifelong Learner. Champion. Storyteller. There is not a single word that could adequately describe the essence of Amara. I cannot be contained in a word or boxed into a single descriptor. I am unique… I have a story to tell…and there is power in my voice…just like yours.

Amara is a creative who is passionate about calling out the gold in other creatives.

She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Her writing journey started over 20 years ago as a poet. Years later, while living in Texas, her writing went through a transformation, and she discovered her passion for spoken word. What once started out as a way to hide behind paper has given away to co-creating with her Father through intimacy and vulnerability. She believes that our voices are powerful and that when we show up with vulnerability and transparency, it gives others the permission to live authentically as well. Her heart is to encourage others to see the power in their voice and their own unique story. She enjoys writing (especially at the water), performing at open mics, crafting, creating, workshops, trying new things, and leading classes on creativity.
